"Uncaged and uncut...sort of."

Films: 47 Meters Down (2017), 47 Meters Down: Uncaged (2019)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Ocean

Height/Weight: That of average great whites.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: It's a little difficult to gauge the behavior of sharks from within a cage. They're all just reacting to something completely alien, dangling from nowhere, and containing odd beings in suits. But to the idiots who either made a faulty cage or just ditched the thing entirely, the blood is on your hands, not their fins.

History: For a fee, one can get into a large cage and get up close and personal with the deadliest fish in the sea. It's a sound business...so long as the cage stays in place, and does not at any point sink down to where the sharks are at their most aggressive and numerous. Such is the plight of a couple thrill-seekers now desperate to survive.

Notable Kills: One shark doesn't even draw blood. It just holds on and drowns the victim.

Final Fate: In the end, only one escapes the depths. And in the next outing, involving exploring submerged Mayan ruins and albino great whites, more die and only a couple survive.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-If you fill the seas with chum in the hopes of attracting the apex predators of the water, you'd better hope the barrier between them and you lasts. These sharks, no matter how weak the effects might get between movies, are relentless, and will waste no time trying to tear you to pieces. The albino ones are even worse, as it barely required any bloodshed to send them into a frenzy.

Trivia: -In the first film, the characters would actually only last about fifteen minutes with the oxygen they had before expiring. And that's without shark attacks.

-According to the director, the idea was that the shark's behavior would be extremely close to how their real-life counterparts would behave, but with everything given only the slightest tweaking upwards. Considering how most sharks will automatically try to bite the cage out of curiosity, it's not an unfair move on this film's part.

Rock climbing from Hell, all to come.

Bruce's blind cousin takes a stab.

The last thing one wants to see in the darkness.
No blood and you'll be fine...we guess.

A Meg prequel?

Just like a bunch of rabid cats.
Simple. PRAY.

Should have been a red flag.

The walls of this cavern might as well be this.

And blood, soon, in the middle.

You could tell he was getting ideas.

Totally not a warning sign.

So, how was the last film? Might want to watch your eye for this.
